The Green Thumbs

Ages 5-9

Kids, explore your green thumbs by planting your own take-home garden! 

Learn to mix your own soil mix and choose from herbs and flowers to plant a two-tiered herb/flower garden that you will take home.  We will also prepare foods using the herbs we plant, such as bruschetta, salsa and/or lavender lemonade.

Melody Makers

Ages 5-9

Explore your inner musician by jamming to various music genres  using a variety of instruments such as the keyboard, bongo drums, ukulele, slide whistles, kazoos and percussion instruments. 

We will also learn simple dances (e.g., the Electric Slide), create our own songs and complete a craft using everyday items and recyclables to make our own instruments.

Goal Getters Sports Camp

Ages 5-9

Hey sporty kids! Take your best shot at a variety of sports with this sports oriented group, including basketball, street hockey, golf, wiffle ball, badminton, beach volleyball and fishing. 

Channel your creative side by designing your own sport as a group using everyday household items. We will also have a take-home craft.

Summer Tea with My Mini Me

Ages 5-9

You and your favorite doll are cordially invited to a sparkling summer tea party with special refreshments for children and dolls will be served.

The tea party will be accompanied by themed stories, curated crafts, and fun in the sun games. Crafts will include friendship bracelets for children and their mini me, picture frames to commentate special summer memories, and more. Children will also teach their doll how to play in our sensory gym! Slides and swings, woo-hoo! Your child may bring their favorite stuffed animal in place of a doll. Children of all abilities are welcome.

Aviation Escape Room

Ages 7 & Up

This group is for our future jet-setters. 

Embark on an aviation adventure that will test your detective skills with this aviation-themed escape room. This adventure will include light projectors and being in a dark room where kids will find clues to solve puzzles and escape an emergency aviation dilemma.

Entering grades 1-3

Series of 6-classes

Did your child complete Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade this year? Do you have concerns about your child's phonemic awareness, reading fluency, and comprehension skills? Are you eager to get them more excited about reading? Do you want them to continue to cultivate their literacy skills while on summer break? Midwest Children's Therapy has the summer program for you!

What to expect: Your child will engage in a variety of literacy based activities and connect with high-interest fiction and nonfiction texts in a small group setting. Students will develop phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, comprehension, figurative language, and writing skills each session. Your children can expect to read, discuss, and respond to a variety of texts. Art and readers' theatre will also be incorporated in the program. Your child's individual progress will be monitored throughout the course of the program using a pretest, curriculum based assessments in each session, and a post test at the conclusion of the program. Miss Emma and Miss Cassandra will provide progress updates each week.

  • For:  Kids entering 1st through 3rd grade (Caregivers are not required to stay during class)

  • When:  Wednesdays June 3rd-July 8th 3pm-4pm
