Our services

Physical Therapy

Our physical therapists work with children on the big-body skills that help them keep up: crawling, walking, running, jumping, and climbing. If your child seems clumsy, tires faster than other kids, avoids the playground, walks on their toes, or is behind on sitting, crawling, or walking, physical therapy is a good place to start.

Treatment builds strength, balance, coordination, posture, and endurance, and all of it happens through play. Kids work in our sensory gym and on our climbing wall, so sessions feel like fun instead of work. We also show families what to practice at home so progress keeps going between visits.

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists help children build the skills they use every single day: holding a pencil, using scissors, getting dressed, managing buttons and zippers, and handling the sights, sounds, and textures around them.

If your child struggles with handwriting, avoids messy play, melts down in loud or busy places, or has trouble with self-care tasks other kids their age have figured out, an evaluation can tell you what's going on. Sessions run through play in our sensory gym, and our therapists work with parents, caregivers, and teachers so the same strategies carry over to home and school.

Speech Therapy

Our Speech-Language Pathologists work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in the pediatric population

MCT specialty areas include, but are not limited to: apraxia of speech, articulation delay, autism spectrum disorder, augmentative/alternative communication, cerebral palsy, cleft lip and palate, Down syndrome, expressive language delays and disorders, language processing disorder, lip and tongue tie, phonological disorder, oral-motor concerns, receptive language disorders, selective mutism, fluency and stuttering concerns, and various rare syndromes.

Hearing Evaluation

A hearing evaluation checks how well your child hears and whether hearing is getting in the way of speech, language, or learning. If your child failed a school or pediatrician screening, has had repeated ear infections, doesn't respond to their name, or seems to have trouble hearing you in noisy rooms, an evaluation can tell you where things stand.

Our audiologist works with children from birth through age 18, using testing methods matched to your child's age and development, so evaluations work even for babies and toddlers who can't answer questions yet. You'll get a clear explanation of the results and what to do next.

Infant Massage

Infant massage gives you a simple, hands-on way to soothe and connect with your baby. Parents often find it helps at bedtime, during fussy stretches, and with gas and tummy discomfort, and it's a calm, unhurried block of time with your baby built into the week.

This two-week class is open to babies ages 6 weeks to 12 months and their caregivers. Each week you'll learn to massage a different part of your baby and how to adapt the strokes to what your own child needs. Class size is kept small on purpose, so spots are limited.

Developmental Therapy

Developmental therapy is for children from birth to age 3 who are behind on early milestones. These services happen in your child's natural environment (home, a grandparent's house, daycare, etc.).

Developmental therapy in Illinois is provided through the state's Early Intervention program by credentialed Early Intervention Specialists. If you think your child may qualify, call us, and we'll help you start a referral to Early Intervention. Once your child is enrolled, one of our developmental therapists can take it from there.
